Denise Mathieson, Adult & Children Yoga Instructor

Denise Mathieson E-RYT certified at YogaWorks has been practicing yoga
for 15 years in various styles such as Ashtanga, Hatha, Iyangar and Bikram. Her certifications range from 200 hour ISHTA, 300 hour Hatha, YogaEd, yoga for elementary age children, and in SilverSneakers.

"Yoga has taught to lead from the heart in everything I do. Yoga has honed me; making me a compassionate and caring Yoga Teacher and Yoga has taught me that grace and strength go hand in hand. I hope to make others find love and strength in everything they do."

Mindfulness practice is my passion. For seven years I've been practicing meditation in the Soto lineage. As a practitioner of Tai Chi, my Tai Chi teacher taught me that training the mind and body brings awareness and strength to our posture to then be able to meditate for long periods of time. Training the mind and the body is imperative to reach peek well-being. My aim is to make more adults and children aware that training the mind is just as important as training the body. I'm a 200 hour trained Yoga Master.

Being consistent at working out the body and mind builds discipline, which is a key factor in mind fullness and Yoga practice.
